2-Acetylphenothiazine is an anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the enzyme xanthine oxidase. It has been shown to have a reactive property and can be used in the treatment of chronic kidney disease, cancer, and other inflammatory diseases. 2-Acetylphenothiazine has been shown to bind to collagen, which may account for its anti-inflammatory effects. The drug also has a hydrogen bond with the dinucleotide phosphate, which may stabilize its structure. 2-Acetylphenothiazine is activated by radiation and is soluble in water.
