Description:H-Ala-Gly-Ala-OH is a small molecule that regulates the replication of viruses. It was discovered by x-ray crystallography and has been shown to inhibit the replication of viruses in cell culture. H-Ala-Gly-Ala-OH effectively inhibits viral replication by binding to the protein that is required for viral RNA synthesis. At low temperatures, HAAGAO can inhibit both DNA and RNA synthesis in vitro, but at higher temperatures it only inhibits RNA synthesis.
