ACTH (22-39) H-Val-Tyr-Pro-Asn-Gly-Ala-Glu-Asp-Glu-Ser-Ala-Glu is a modified form of ACTH (22-39) that is used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus. It is a synthetic peptide and has been shown to reduce body mass index, adipose tissue, and plasma glucose levels in diabetic patients. This drug also increases plasma cortisol concentrations and inhibits insulin production in pancreatic β cells.
