Description

2-Amino-4,5-dimethylthiophene-3-carboxamide is a heterocyclic compound that can be prepared by the reaction of 2-methylthioaniline with formaldehyde. It has been found to have antibacterial activity and can be used in the production of solvents, dyes, and pharmaceuticals. The synthesis of 2-amino-4,5-dimethylthiophene-3-carboxamide has been studied extensively by interscience.
