Product Information
AC710 is a molecule that binds to the platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) and inhibits the interaction of PDGF with its receptor. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice by inhibiting the production of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). AC710 has also been shown to be effective against choroidal neovascularization, a complication of age-related macular degeneration.
AC710 is a synthetic analog of PDGF that contains an additional hydroxyl group on the ring structure. This modification provides improved pharmacokinetic properties, such as increased solubility and decreased clearance, which may account for its lower toxicity than other analogs.
