Product Information

Name:
ASP 7663
Description:

ASP 7663 is a new drug that has been developed for the treatment of chronic pulmonary diseases. The active form of ASP 7663 binds to the trpa1 receptor, which is an ion channel in the airway epithelium. This binding inhibits the flow of calcium ions and blocks neurotransmitter release from nerve endings. ASP 7663 also has anti-inflammatory properties and prevents oxidative stress-related damage in vivo. ASP 7663 has been shown to inhibit acetylcholine release from myenteric plexus nerves and inhibit ion channels in cardiac muscle cells, both of which are associated with the development of heart failure. It also has anti-inflammatory effects on bowel disease, such as ischemia-reperfusion injury and inflammatory bowel disease.
