Description:

6-N-Alloc-L-lysineHydrochloride is an azide of L-lysine. It is a white powder that is soluble in water and alcohols. This compound can be used as a chemical reagent or intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. 6-N-Alloc-L-lysineHydrochloride reacts with hydroxylamines to form the corresponding amides. It also reacts with alkylating agents, such as chloroformates and sulfonyl chlorides, to form substituted amides. 6-N-Alloc-L-lysineHydrochloride has been shown to react with nitrosourea to form a new amino acid with an N2O group attached to the α carbon atom of lysine (6N Nitrosated Lysine).
