It also reacts with alkylating agents, such as chloroformates and sulfonyl chlorides, to form substituted amides. 6-N-Alloc-L-lysineHydrochloride has been shown to react with nitrosourea to form a new amino acid with an N2O group attached to the α carbon atom of lysine (6N Nitrosated Lysine).
