Ceftazidime is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the il-2 receptor, which is an enzyme involved in the synthesis of proteins. Ceftazidime has been shown to be effective against Gram-positive bacteria. Ceftazidime may also have a synergistic effect with other drugs, such as ceftazidime and isoxsuprine hydrochloride or ceftazidime and penicillin-binding protein. Ceftazidime is active against most isolates of Aeruginosa, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Serratia marcescens. Ceftazidime has been shown to be effective in treating infections caused by these bacteria.
