The kinetic data also shows that this dye has an exothermic reaction, with an activation energy of about 28 kJ/mol. Acid Red 57 can be synthesized by the condensation of 2-amino-5-nitrobenzenesulfonic acid with 3,3'-dichloro-4,4'-dimethoxybenzidine or 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)piperazine.
