It has been shown to have antibacterial efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The MICs for aspoxicillin are 0.03-0.12 µg/mL against Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, respectively. Aspoxicillin also has a tissue infection spectrum that includes skin infections, septicemia, meningitis, pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
