Description:7-Acetamido nitrazepam is a benzodiazepine derivative that is used as a hypnotic, anxiolytic and anticonvulsant. It has been shown to have a longer duration of action than diazepam, which is its parent compound. 7-Acetamido nitrazepam has been detected in the urine of geriatric patients who have taken it orally, with concentrations peaking between 1 and 2 hours after ingestion.
