Description

Amicoumacin A is a natural compound that has been shown to have inhibitory properties against a broad range of microorganisms. It is a cyclic lipopeptide and acetate extract that has been shown to be active against Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Enterococcus faecalis, as well as Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella enterica serovar Typhi, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Amicoumacin A also has inhibitory properties against the growth of fungi such as Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
