    Brand:Biosynth
Description:2-Amino-5-nitrobenzophenone (2ABP) is a substituted benzene derivative that can be synthesized by the Friedel-Crafts reaction. It is an intermediate in the synthesis of flunitrazepam, which is a type of benzodiazepine. Flunitrazepam has been shown to have hypnotic and sedative effects in animal experiments. The hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate react with 2ABP to produce the chloride salt, which can then be purified by chromatography. The rate at which this molecule reacts is dependent on the concentration of chloride ions in solution. 2ABP also has a dipole moment due to the charge separation between its two charged groups, which causes it to vibrate and rotate around its axis.
