Description:Dihydrotestosterone is a potent androgen that is used in hormone replacement therapy to treat conditions such as testosterone deficiency, delayed puberty, and impotence. It is also used to treat breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. Dihydrotestosterone binds to the androgen receptor, which alters the expression of genes by altering their nucleotide sequences.
