It can form interparticle and energy transfer interactions with other molecules, such as naphthalene, triphenylene, and fluorescents. 9-Anthryl methacrylate has a nonradiative fluorescence emission with an excitation wavelength of 298 nm and an emission wavelength of 310 nm. The absorption spectrum for 9-anthryl methacrylate is characterized by a maximum at 290 nm. This compound is soluble in organic solvents.
