Product Information
Name:Agmatine sulfate
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Agmatine sulfate is a natural aminoguanidine that is found in plants, such as beans and potatoes. Agmatine sulfate inhibits the enzyme arginase. It also has been shown to have anti-diabetic effects in diabetic patients, which may be due to its ability to inhibit glucose production in the liver. Agmatine sulfate can be isolated from sephadex g-100 by using norvaline as an indicator. A denaturing solution of urea and sodium hydroxide is used to extract agmatine sulfate from the gel, which can then be purified by chromatography on a silica column with methanol as the solvent. Agmatine sulfate also has been shown to improve symptoms of diabetic neuropathy through its ability to inhibit phosphodiesterase activity. Industrial uses of agmatine sulfate include being used as an intermediate for the production of polyurethane foams or for use in urine samples for screening for
