    Product Information

    Name:Alclometasone dipropionate
    Controlled Product
    Brand:Biosynth
Description:Alclometasone dipropionate is an anti-inflammatory agent that belongs to the group of corticosteroids. It is a low potency drug with a chemical stability that is similar to that of betamethasone. The monosodium salt form of alclometasone dipropionate is more water soluble than other corticosteroids and thus has better absorption through the skin. Alclometasone dipropionate decreases inflammation by blocking the production of inflammatory mediators, such as prostaglandin E2 and leukotrienes, and also suppresses immune system activity. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating symptoms of bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, in women, as well as the symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease in geriatric patients. Alclometasone dipropionate also has anti-inflammatory effects on rat liver microsomes via intermolecular hydrogen bonding.BR
