This initiator has been shown to be stable in the presence of ethylene and water vapor and can provide high molecular weight polymers when used in combination with other monomers. Tech has been shown to bind well with binder molecules and coatings are formed when it is mixed with deionized water. 2-Amino-1,3,5-triazine-4,6-dithiol initiates polymerization by absorbing light energy and converting it into heat energy, which causes the release of free radicals from its mercapto group.
