Description:

4-Amino-3-nitrobenzophenone is a molecular electrostatic potential modifier that can be used in hyperpolarization devices. It is activated by radiation and has been shown to be efficient in the production of optically active species. This molecule also has a dipole moment, which allows it to be used as an amine scavenger. 4-Amino-3-nitrobenzophenone has been synthesised from benzaldehyde and nitroethane with aluminium as the catalyst.
