Description:
3-Amino-4-phenylbutanoic acid is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the acylase activity in porcine kidney. It also inhibits glucosinolate biosynthesis and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification reactions. It can be used as an extractant for lipase and is used in the synthesis of phenylethyl amine, a pancreas stimulant. 3-Amino-4-phenylbutanoic acid has been shown to inhibit the acylase activity in porcine kidney.
