5-Amino-2-methylpyrimidine is a signalling molecule that is involved in the regulation of cellular proliferation and apoptosis. It inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to polyethylene glycols and inhibiting the formation of hydroxyapatite crystals. 5-Amino-2-methylpyrimidine has been shown to inhibit the production of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and serum enzymes, such as dismutase activity, in mice with lung cancer. This drug also has a toxic effect on respiratory system cells, which may be due to its ability to induce apoptosis.
5-Amino-2-methylpyrimidine is an active substance that is used as an anti-cancer agent. It binds to polyvinyl alcohols and inhibits the synthesis of RNA and proteins in cells. The effective concentration for this compound varies depending on the type of cell, highlighting how different types of cells react
