Description:

Acetyl-O-methyl-L-tyrosine is a quantified organic compound with an optical rotation of +29°. It is soluble in fatty acids, organic solvents and methyl esters. Acetyl-O-methyl-L-tyrosine has been shown to be a prebiotic for the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. It also inhibits the production of tyramine, which is an endogenous monoamine that can cause high blood pressure and headaches. Acetyl-O-methyl-L-tyrosine has been shown to inhibit dopamine degradation by stereochemical inhibition, which is important for Parkinson's disease treatment. Acetyl-O-methyl-L-tyrosine also catalyzes reactions of fatty acid synthesis and solvents including hplc results.
