Description:

3-Acetyl-6-bromocoumarin is a coumarin derivative with an acetyl group. It has been shown to be useful for the synthesis of other coumarin derivatives, as well as for the study of optical properties and chemical reactions. 3-Acetyl-6-bromocoumarin has been used in studies of cancer progression and the development of new optical sensors. The molecule's high sensitivity to changes in pH makes it an ideal candidate for use in medical diagnostics. 3-Acetyl-6-bromocoumarin has also been shown to bind to DNA, which may play a role in its anti-cancer activity.
