It contains erythromycins, macrolides, ethambutol, rifampin, carboxy, halogens, inorganic, ethyl group and erythromycin. These compounds are resistant to mycobacterium avium and other bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. The resistance may be due to the presence of dialkylaminoalkyl groups or organic acids such as nitro or hydroxyl group.
