2-Amino-4,5-dimethylphenol is a compound that exhibits anticancer activity. It is an arylimine that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. The mechanism of action is not fully understood, but it is believed that 2-amino-4,5-dimethylphenol may act as a nucleophile in reverse Michael addition reactions with electrophiles.
