3-Aminobenzhydrazide is a monomer that belongs to the group of hydrophobic molecules. It can be used as a chemical treatment for protein denaturation in vitro. 3-Aminobenzhydrazide is synthesized by bacteria and fungi through biosynthesis, which is catalyzed by the enzyme anilinohydrolase. 3-Aminobenzhydrazide has been shown to have no effect on water permeability or osmosis, but does have a significant effect on chloride ion permeability. This molecule also has functional groups such as a nitro group and amino group, which are responsible for its solubility in organic solvents and its ability to react with other compounds. 3-Aminobenzhydrazide can be used in vitro to remove chlorides from solutions containing high concentrations of chloride ions.
