Description:
Andromedotoxin is a chemical substance that binds to the cardiac Na channel and prevents the uptake of sodium ions. It also blocks the maximal response of the heart to epinephrine and other pressor drugs. Andromedotoxin has been shown to have anti-cancer properties in animal studies, but its toxicity has not been fully evaluated. The effective dose for this drug has not yet been determined.
