This compound has been used as a reagent for preparing metal complexes such as ferrite and 5-aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride. The desorption from these complexes was achieved using high yields of sulfate and chloride ions. The preparation of polyethers containing 2-aminoethanol, isobutyric acid, and ethylene glycol was also carried out using this compound, which can be regarded as an important chemical intermediate for the synthesis of polyethers.
