- Benzenemethanol, Α-(Aminomethyl)-2-Fluoro-
2-Amino-1-(2-fluorophenyl)ethanol is a chemical intermediate that belongs to the group of organic solvents. It is soluble in organic solvents, but insoluble in water. 2-Amino-1-(2-fluorophenyl)ethanol can be prepared by dehydrogenation of o-chlorobenzaldehyde in the presence of molybdenum. This compound has been used as a reagent for preparing metal complexes such as ferrite and 5-aminolevulinic acid hydrochloride. The desorption from these complexes was achieved using high yields of sulfate and chloride ions. The preparation of polyethers containing 2-aminoethanol, isobutyric acid, and ethylene glycol was also carried out using this compound, which can be regarded as an important chemical intermediate for the synthesis of polyethers.
