Methanedisulfonyl Dichloride is a proton-containing nucleophilic reagent that can be used as an acid catalyst in organic synthesis. Methanedisulfonyl Dichloride also reacts with hydrogen fluoride (HF) to produce methanesulfonic acid, which dissociates in water to form H+ and SO3-.
