Haplopine is a neuroprotective agent that has been shown to have beneficial effects on oxidative injury in vitro. It may also have anticancer properties and can be used as a treatment for cancer. Haplopine has been shown to inhibit the growth of human breast cancer cells by binding to dna, preventing transcription and replication. This agent also inhibits the activity of angiogenesis-inducing enzymes in vitro, and may be useful for the treatment of diseases such as diabetic retinopathy or glaucoma.
