Bismuth oxide is a compound that belongs to the group of metal oxides. It has a phase transition temperature of 1,000 degrees Celsius and is used in the production of some metals. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was measured on bismuth oxide, which showed a high capacitance at low frequencies and a high resistance at high frequencies. Bismuth oxide also has an x-ray diffraction pattern with peaks at 2θ = 16.8°, 12.1°, 9.5°, 8.3°, 7.2°, 6.4°, 5.6° and 4.4° corresponding to the (111), (200), (220), (311), (222), (400) and (422) planes respectively, which are typical for molecular crystals with cubic symmetry. Bismuth oxide has been shown to be genotoxic in mice and rats via inhalation exposure when combined with other agents such as arsenic
