Description:3-Bromopropylamine hydrobromide is a basic protein that is used in the synthesis of amides. 3-Bromopropylamine hydrobromide has been shown to inhibit the transport of proteins in human urothelial carcinoma cells. This drug also has inhibitory properties, which may be due to its ability to disrupt the disulfide bonds of proteins. The inhibition of protein transport by 3-bromopropylamine hydrobromide can lead to decreased levels of cellular protein synthesis. 3-Bromopropylamine hydrobromide is soluble in water and has a redox potential that can be measured with a coulometric electrode at +0.8 V vs Ag/AgCl.
