7-Bromo-5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydrobenzo[e]-1,4-diazepin-2-one is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that is a benzodiazepine with immunomodulatory and antimicrobial properties. It has shown to be effective against infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria. The pharmacokinetics of 7-bromo-5-(2-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydrobenzo[e]-1,4-diazepin-2 one have been studied in human serum and the kinetic parameters are determined by using creatine kinase as the terminal enzyme. This compound has also been found to affect the matrix effect of liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) for the analysis of lorazepam.
