Benthiavalicarb isopropyl is a fungicide that belongs to the group of prothioconazole. It is used in the sterilization of seeds and seedlings, which can be applied to plants as a soil drench or sprayed on the leaves. Benthiavalicarb isopropyl has been shown to have synergistic effects when used with other fungicides such as metalaxyl.
