(1S,2S)-2-(2-{[3-(1H-Benzimidazol-2-Yl)Propyl](Methyl)Amino}Ethyl)-6-Fluoro-1-Isopropyl-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydro-2-Naphthalenyl Cyclopropa necarboxylate Dihydrochloride is an experimental drug that inhibits the activity of calcium ion channels. The cytosolic Ca2+ concentration is significantly decreased in cells incubated with this drug. This may be because the drug blocks the influx of extracellular Ca2+. The optimum concentration for this drug is 500 μM. It has been shown to inhibit neurotoxicity and cell apoptosis in nerve cells and spermatozoa.
