6-(4-Bromo-2-chlorophenylamino)-7-fluoro-3-methylbenzimidazole-5-carboxylic acid is a benzimidazole derivative. It has shown to inhibit abnormal cell growth, specifically by inhibiting cancer cells and hyperproliferative diseases. 6-(4-Bromo-2-chlorophenylamino)-7-fluoro-3methylbenzimidazole has also been shown to have antiinflammatory properties. This active compound is poorly soluble in water, but can be solvated by ethanol or diethyl ether.
