Product Information
- Pyridazine, 3-bromo-6-methyl-
3-Bromo-6-methylpyridazine is a synthetic compound that belongs to the group of hydrazines. It is synthesized from 3,4-dichloro-2-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)hydrazine and 3,5-dimethylbenzaldehyde in a reaction catalyzed by palladium acetate. Hydrazines share a common structure consisting of a nitrogen atom in position 1 and 4 with an attached hydrogen atom at position 2. This particular hydrazine undergoes dehydrogenation followed by cyclization to form the final product.
