Description:
7-Bromo-1-hydroxyisoquinoline is an organic compound that can be synthesized by reacting 1,2-dihydroxyisoquinoline with bromine and a radical initiator. It has been shown to be a regioselective inhibitor of lipid peroxidation that produces a high yield of the desired product. 7-Bromo-1-hydroxyisoquinoline was first synthesized in the 1940s and has been used as a synthetic tool for fluorinating various organic compounds.
