- Benzofuran-3-Boronic Acid
- 3-Benzofuranylboronic acid
Benzofuran-3-ylboronic acid (BFB) is a small molecule that interacts with and modulates the function of microRNAs (miRNAs). BFB has been shown to be an integrated photophysical molecule with a strong fluorescence emission. It is activated thermally or photolytically, highlighting its potential as a fluorescent probe for biological imaging. The structure of BFB is closely related to tab29, which is a congener of BFB that has been shown to have potent anti-inflammatory effects in vitro.
