Description:
Boron trifluoride-butanol solution is a fluorescence probe that is used to measure the concentration of boron trifluoride. It can be employed as a catalyst for transfer reactions, such as those that involve fluorinated compounds. Boron trifluoride-butanol solution has been shown to react with hydrogen fluoride and hydrofluoric acid to form boric acid, which is capable of binding to receptors with high affinity.
