Product Information
Bruceine D is a natural compound that belongs to the group of quassinoids. It has been shown to induce apoptosis in a number of cell types, including cancer cells. Bruceine D activates the apoptotic pathway by binding to the pro-apoptotic protein Bax and inhibiting its translocation from the cytosol to the mitochondria. This inhibition leads to an accumulation of Bax in the cytoplasm and activation of caspase-3. Bruceine D inhibits cancer cell proliferation, induces significant cytotoxicity, and shows a matrix effect on tumor cells in experimental models.
