Description:
Piperlonguminine is a natural compound that has been shown to have anticancer properties and may be used as a potential anticancer agent. It is a novel inhibitor that binds to the dna binding activity of the protein c-jun, which is involved in apoptosis pathways. Piperlonguminine also inhibits the phosphorylation of c-jun, leading to decreased expression of the response element in nuclear DNA. This results in decreased transcription of genes involved in cancer growth.
