Description:
2-Bromo-1,8-naphthyridine (2BN) is a synthetic compound that has been shown to inhibit the replication of HIV. It inhibits viral entry into the cell by binding to CD4 receptors on the cell surface, blocking viral attachment and entry. 2BN has been shown to bind to human serum albumin (HSA), which may be responsible for its high detection sensitivity. In addition, 2BN is stable in pharmaceutical formulations and has a short reaction time.
