Product Information
- Benzaldehyde, 3-(Bromomethyl)-
3-(Bromomethyl)benzaldehyde is a molecule that inhibits the activity of voltage-gated sodium channels and other channels that are activated by depolarization. It also has neuropathic effects in animal models. 3-(Bromomethyl)benzaldehyde binds to the phenolic hydroxyl group of benzene, which is present in the pharmacophore. The ligand is stabilized by aryl chlorides such as ferrocene or isophthalaldehyde. 3-(Bromomethyl)benzaldehyde may be used to treat pain associated with neuropathy and other conditions.
