Description

Betamethasone is a potent anti-inflammatory agent that belongs to the group of corticosteroids. It is used in the treatment of a number of inflammatory diseases, such as infectious diseases, hypersensitivity syndrome and asthma. Betamethasone has been shown to be effective in treating some types of eye disorders, such as ocular allergies and uveitis. In addition, it has been shown to be an effective treatment for bowel disease and cervical gland infections. Betamethasone also has a number of side effects including myocardial infarct and neuronal death. Beta-methasone can cause reactions with benzalkonium chloride which may lead to disease activity.
