Description:Bumetanide is a diuretic that inhibits the response of the airways to bronchoconstrictor drugs. It has been shown to inhibit the production of IL-2 receptor in human serum and cytosolic Ca2+ release from cells, leading to neuronal death. Bumetanide also inhibits axonal growth and whole-cell recordings in rat neurons. In addition, bumetanide has been shown to have inhibitory binding on pharmacological agents that are used for congestive heart failure treatment.
