Description

6-Bromo-3-isoquinolinamine is a novel analog of isoquinoline that has in vivo antitumor activity. 6-Bromo-3-isoquinolinamine inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting protein kinase B/Akt, which regulates cell proliferation and apoptosis. 6-Bromo-3-isoquinolinamine also inhibits the kinase activity of protein kinase b/akt. It has been shown to have a pharmacokinetic profile that allows for administration by oral or intravenous routes and has been evaluated as a lead compound for further development in the treatment of cancer.
