2-Bromoethyl ethyl ether (BE2) is a reactive aliphatic hydrocarbon that has been used in the preparation of amines, such as dopamine. BE2 has also been used in the preparation of activated polymers for binding experiments and sample preparation. BE2 is an aromatic hydrocarbon that is stable in acidic conditions. It has been shown to have an affinity for dopamine receptors, which can be useful in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. BE2 has also been shown to inhibit influenza virus replication. br>br>A study was done on the use of BE2 in urine samples from patients with influenza A virus infection found that BE2 inhibited viral growth by 50%. This anti-viral effect was due to its ability to inhibit viral replication at a post-transcriptional level by binding with double-stranded RNA, preventing viral RNA synthesis and inhibiting protein synthesis.BR>BR> The chemical structure of 2-bromoethyl
