Bis(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl-6-carbopentoxyphenyl) oxalate is a magnetic resonance probe for detecting carbonic acid. It has been used to develop a gas sensor that detects CO2 and O2. The compound emits light when it reacts with fatty acids in the presence of an oxidizing agent. Bis(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl-6-carbopentoxyphenyl) oxalate also has application as a chemiluminescent probe in the detection of pueraria lobata (a plant extract). This compound can be used as an antibody solution to detect low energy radiation or fluorescence resonance.
